PETERKIN COTTON
A commercial variety of Upland cotton, having a staple about one inch and a lint yield of 34 to 36 per cent. Also known as Texas Wood, Wise, Crossland, Audrey Peterkin and Brazier Peterkin. The plant is medium size, has oval bolls, not clustered, and does not mature very early. It is one of the largest producers of lint and one of the best of the Rio Grande type.
